Our doctors handle everything from adult and children’s eye exams, to contact lenses, eye emergencies, treatment of eye diseases and co-management of eye surgery such as LASIK.
Dr. Aaron Chizek
Dr. Aaron purchased Advanced Eyecare in 2018. He provides comprehensive eye care including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fitting, treatment of eye diseases, and surgical co-management.
He completed undergraduate work at the University of Northern Iowa and then received his doctorate from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2001. After graduation, he worked in a practice in Montgomery and Auburn, Alabama while his wife, Ammie, served in the US Air Force. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association, and the Mississippi Valley Optometric Association.
Dr. Aaron was raised on a farm near Dysart, Iowa and currently resides in Eldridge. He stays busy with his four active sons and enjoys watching them participate in high school sports and they watch college and professional sports together.
Dr. Ammie Chizek
Dr. Ammie purchased Advanced Eyecare in 2018. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Illinois and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2001.
After graduation, she served three years in the United States Air Force, stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL as a staff optometrist. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association, and the Mississippi Valley Optometric Association.
Dr. Ammie is a native of Illinois, born and raised in Taylorville. She currently lives in Eldridge with her husband, Aaron and their four sons.
Dr. Rebecca Peck
Dr. Rebecca Peck has 32 years of experience in the Clinton and Eldridge area. She has a bachelors from Southern Illinois University and masters from McNeese State University both in Microbiology. Dr. Peck graduated from The Illinois College of Optometry at Chicago. She can meet all your optometric vision needs with special training and skill in examining eyes for both vision and health problems and correcting refractive errors by prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses. She is a member of the Iowa Optometry Association and American Optometry Association.
Dr. Peck has enjoyed living in several states and has a son and daughter.
Vicki
Vicki has been a receptionist/ office assistant for 24 years at Advanced Eyecare. She provides excellent personalized service to our patients taking care of their scheduling, payment, contact lens purchases and insurance needs. Vicki is married with three children and 7 grandchildren.
Sara
Sara has been a receptionist/ office assistant for 15 years at Advanced Eyecare. She is also a rockstar at accommodating patient’s needs in the same areas as Vicki. Sara is married with a daughter and 2 grandchildren.
Amber
Amber will assist in all your optical needs for purchases and repairs. She keeps an excellent frame selection and will explain all lens and insurance options available to you. Amber is married with two children. Our Bettendorf Eyecare location also has a completely different selection of frames for you to select from as well.
Michelle
Michelle is our technician that will interview you and gather testing results for the doctors. Michelle has experience in optical so she can speak knowledgeable with you about glasses and contact lens options. She can also assist in training on the insertion and removal of contact lenses. Michelle is married with two children.
